چکیده
The aim of this study was to determine the contamination levels by aflatoxins M1, M2, G1, G2, B1 and B2 Ochratoxin A in 123 infant formula powder samples from metropolitan region Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. sensitive method using a modified Quick Easy Cheap Effective Rugged Safe (QuEChERS) ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) validated for application sample analyses. B1, B2, G1 G2 were not detected analyzed samples. Aflatoxin M1 18 (14.6%) quantified eight (6.5%), at concentration ranging 0.016 0.057 µg kg−1 an average 0.031 kg−1. aflatoxin concentrations found three (0.040, 0.044 kg−1) exceed limit established European Union regulations (0.025 kg−1). estimate daily intake (EDI) infants up 12 months ranged 0.39 1.53 ng body weight day−1. results demonstrate importance carrying out monitoring studies support formulas

Determination of Aflatoxins B1 and B2 in Powdered Milk Using Modified Liquid Chromatography Method
Background & Aims: In this study, using a liquid-liquid microextraction method for pre-concentration trace amounts of aflatoxins, the amount of Aflatoxins B1 and B2 in powdered milk was determined. Determination of aflatoxins was done by using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with fluorescent detector. Method: Samples were extracted by immunoaffinity column (IAC) clean-up, and the...
متن کاملBiosynthetic relationship among aflatoxins B1, B2, M1, and M2.
Aflatoxins are a family of toxic, acetate-derived decaketides that arise biosynthetically through polyhydroxyanthraquinone intermediates. Most studies have assumed that aflatoxin B1 is the biosynthetic precursor of the other aflatoxins. We used a strain of Aspergillus flavus which accumulates aflatoxin B2 to investigate the later stages of aflatoxin biosynthesis. This strain produced aflatoxins...
متن کاملInvestigation of Non-Covalent Interactions of Aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1, G2, and M1) with Serum Albumin
Aflatoxins are widely spread mycotoxins produced mainly by Aspergillus species. Consumption of aflatoxin-contaminated foods and drinks causes serious health risks for people worldwide. It is well-known that the reactive epoxide metabolite of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) forms covalent adducts with serum albumin. However, non-covalent interactions of aflatoxins with human serum albumin (HSA) are poorly c...
